hi everyone this is principal McCarthy with our final video update for this school year the 2425 school year this is the week of June 9th 2025 and we have 1 more day of instruction the last day of instruction is June 10th um I want to start by thanking our students for wonderful school year you are truly a reason why we do everything we do at our adult school and we are excited to continue to a wonderful program for you your family and friends and our community into the summer as well as next year uh students if you have not registered for summer please come into counseling see your advisors and take advantage of our summer discussion it's a 5-week session it starts on June 23rd and we are offering that both day and evening classes here at the North Valley Occupational Center um please don't um Let Your Brains go uh go to sleep over the summer we would love to keep you engaged we also have 2 special programs that we are highlighting this summer besides our ESL and our high school diploma and equivalency we are offering computer classes uh in the evening and in the morning but um our special programs that we're offering are a introduction to health careers which is our foundations of health careers that is going to be offered during the day that is for both our higher level ESL and our native speakers if you're thinking about going into a career um and some of our trained uh training programs in the health Allied Health in the fall please consider taking that class it is a great foundation for these upcoming programs that we offer in fall and then in the evening we're also offering a medical terminology class which is critical for all of our students that plan on going into health careers this is a real Time Saver you're going to learn the language of of Health Care uh in that class and you will be done and you will be ready to go and apply for your programs with us in the fall so please check those out and then as far as fall enrollment we are not going to be doing fall enrollment until the last 2 weeks of summer school so that will be right around the weeks of July 14th um but please if you're not taking summer classes please go ahead and call us or stop by right around July 14th and we'll be able to give you information we'll also be posting fall uh registration information on our website as we get closer to those dates now the school is growing by Leaps and Bounds and I'm going to go ahead and share out the data that we look at every year this is not the absolute drop dead last piece of data but this was run on the 8th so it's about as close as we're going to get because we only have 2 days left of the school year but if you take a look at North Valley here you will see that as of Sunday we hit 7,092 students that were enrolled for the whole school year so that is a huge jump as you can see if you look at all the other schools in our division we actually had the highest uh growth rate of all the schools and that was a combination of lots of hard work and Outreach I want to thank all of our staff for an amazing job thank you for that and then I am going to move this over to the website just for a little uh background information and remind everybody to please when you're checking out our programs um and services please keep in mind that if you click on any of these you can access our schedule for the summer but also right here on the homepage it says click here for live schedule of courses if you click here this will bring you to the summer schedule and all you have to do is click on that it opens it up and this is a live schedule by the way so as we add classes um and make changes throughout the school year you will always be able to access the live schedule so um check that out you can scroll down there's a lot more being offered not just that uh but please again register for your summer classes and then for our um staff just wanted to remind everybody that this Wednesday June 11th we are having optional workday teachers you may work up to 6 hours that day um our seabase is employees you may work up to the number of hours you are normally scheduled on Wednesdays so uh please come in in the morning you're asking that everyone work their hours straight through in the morning we do not plan on having the campuses open beyond about 4 or 4:30 so please wrap up all of your time um in the morning and then to reach you and so you start your day with a full tummy we are offering a wonderful uh we're hosting a wonderful breakfast for all of our staff that morning in the grill and we'd love to spend time together and highlight our school year successes so see you then thank you so much
