On March 30, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-39-20 which, in part, waived statutory and regulatory requirements for EMS personnel to ensure continued operations of emergency services. This includes the requirement for skills competency verification for EMT renewal for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency.
This course is approved by the Los Angeles County EMS Agency for 24 hours of Continuing Education and meets the state required hours to re-certify an EMT certificate. The NVOC EMT Refresher Class includes epinephrine, naloxone, and blood glucometry training.
